Skills / Requirements
Manager, Solution Architecture for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (Phoenix, AZ) - Develop short and long-term strategies and support project deliverables. Work within Information Technology to develop near/mid-term roadmap creation, to address gaps and move towards future state architecture to support growth, optimization and innovation. Direct architectural design, implementation and modification activities in conjunction with Team Leaders, other IT managers, users and management. Analyze design and architect systems and adjust system design to solve problems in a dynamic environment; align business requirements with enterprise technology alternatives and options. Responsible for domain specific content/collateral, architecture standards/ methodologies, and documentation of the current state and future state architecture.
Requirements include a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related; and progressive post-Bachelor’s experience (3 years with Master’s or 5 years with Bachelor’s); which must include some experience with designing and managing system and software development; implementation and maintenance and data migration; designing and managing complex legacy transformation programs; multi-dimensional databases; BI/Advanced Analytics platform (SSRS, Cognos, Hyperion and Tableau); web-based applications and cloud-computing applications for hosting (VB, Java, SPSS, SAS, SQL query, and ASP.NET); databases (SQL server, Oracle, and MS Access); and PMP and ITIL certifications or equivalent.
