PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. Preferred Work Experience

· 10 years of experience in computer technology and/or information systems (All Levels)

· 5 years of experience in information security (All Levels)

2. Preferred Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field (All Levels)

· Emergency management and\or disaster preparedness. (All Levels)

· N/A

4. Preferred Certifications · The following, or equivalent credentials, maintained in position: Associate Business Continuity Planner (ABCP) (Level 1), Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), DRII (Levels 2 and 3); Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (C/DRE) (Levels 4); or any security related certification. (two certifications - Level 2, three certifications for Level 3 and four or more for Level 4).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

LEVEL 1 - Performs job functions under close supervision or peer review

· Partner with leadership, subject matter experts, and management to develop detailed and comprehensive disaster

recovery plans for each tier 1 application.

· Coordinates with the disaster recovery team to ensure alignment

· Work with Business Continuity management to ensure that the disaster recovery (crisis management) and business

continuity plans drive disaster recovery (DR) strategy and procedures.

· Assist in managing recovery during a crisis event as needed and assist with incident response.

· Provide expertise and support to management and business functional areas, as requested, when a business

disruption occurs

· Manage change control process in order to keep all plans updated for changes in recovery team members, new

equipment, facilities, services and systems

· Document situation reports and lessons learned for actual incidents and exercises

· Establish and maintain the overall plans for executing all DR procedures.

· Establish and maintain detailed DR communications and command and control plans through a change management

process.

· Represent Information Security Operations team in all DR exercises

LEVEL 2 - Performs job functions with general supervision

· Performs regular reviews and updates to all program activities to identify areas of opportunity for improvement and

enhanced operational resiliency.

· Maintain policies and procedures for the Disaster Recovery Program function.

· Provide disaster recovery planning and testing oversight and governance.

· Partner with the Incident Management team and assist in facilitating business recovery, as required

· Establish and maintain the overall plans for executing all DR procedures and understand their interdependencies.

· Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management.

· Work with the IT technical staff to ensure that disaster recovery solutions are adequate, in place, maintained, and

tested as part of the regular operational life cycle.

· Schedule and lead all DR exercises.

LEVEL 3 - Performs job functions with minimal supervision

· Provide ongoing feedback for risk management, mitigation, and prevention.

· Act as liaison for auditing and examination of disaster recovery processes.

· Determine critical business processes and establish resources required for the successful resumption of business

operations in the event of a disaster

· Regularly report Disaster Recovery activities to upper management.

· Help ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.

LEVEL 4 · Recommend recovery strategies and options, and assist with the implementation of recovery solutions. · Responsible for the development of staff, providing the necessary training to assist in staff development in regards to enterprise resiliency. · Represent disaster recovery cost requirements in the annual budgeting process. · Develops policies, procedures, templates, standards, and documentation in support of deployment, management, and sustainability of the program. · Develop, understand and execute all testing necessary for a successful Disaster Recovery execution for tools and systems

ALL LEVELS

· Each progressive level includes the ability to perform the essential functions of any lower levels and mentor

employees in those levels.

· The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any

additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.

· Perform all other duties as assigned.

· Participate in on-call duties

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

1. Required Job Skills (Applies to All Levels)

· Intermediate skill in use of office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanner and telephones

· Intermediate PC proficiency

· Intermediate proficiency in spreadsheet, database and word processing software.

· Experience in using disaster recovery planning applications and emergency notification systems.

· Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Applications and Suites

· Basic knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and its security levels.

The IT Disaster Recovery Coordinator directs IT disaster response/activities in compliance with the IT emergency plan and helps provide and coordinate disaster preparedness training with respect to the organization’s information technologies,

helping ensure business continuity.
