Executive Protection Advance Agent - Onsite

Hybrid People Leaders: must reside in AZ, required to be onsite at least once per week
Hybrid Individual Contributors: must reside in AZ, unless otherwise cited within this posting, required to be onsite at least once per month
Onsite: daily onsite requirement based on the essential functions of the job
Remote: not held to onsite requirements, however, leadership can request presence onsite for business reasons including but not limited to staff meetings, one-on-ones, training, and team building
Please note that onsite requirements may change in the future, based on business need, and job responsibilities. Most employees should expect onsite requirements and at a minimum of once per month.
Purpose of the job
Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of high-profile executives by conducting advance work at venues, public appearances, and travel destinations. This role involves evaluating the environment ahead of an executive's arrival to identify and mitigate risks, coordinating with local security personnel, and ensuring all safety protocols are in place. The Advance Agent acts as a critical component of the executive protection team, staying one step ahead to safeguard the executive and their entourage.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Required Work Experience
- 10 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military, or security related field
- Experience handling firearms in a professional capacity
- Experience working in high-pressure or emergency response environments
- Strong situational awareness and risk assessment capabilities
- Ability to anticipate and mitigate threats before they occur
- Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and firearm regulations
- Effective communication skills for interacting with law enforcement, event staff, and the executive protection team
- Physical fitness to perform advance work, conduct patrols, and respond to emergencies
- Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure
Required Education
- High-School Diploma or GED in field of study
Required Licenses
- Valid armed security guard license
- Valid Arizona Driver License, with an acceptable driving record
Required Certifications
- Firearms certification (required by local/state law)
- Ongoing firearms training and certifications
- Ongoing Firearms Training (required to maintain licensure)
- Tactical Driving Course Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Work Experience
- 15 years of experience in executive protection, law enforcement, military, or security related field
- Experience in advance work for high-profile individuals or events

- Additional coursework or certifications in executive protection, security management, or law enforcement

ESSENTIAL job functions AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct Advance Site Assessments: Visit locations ahead of the executive to assess potential risks, identify security vulnerabilities, and ensure the safety of the environment.
- Establish Secure Travel Routes: Plan and secure travel routes to minimize risks, avoid potential hazards, and ensure smooth transitions between locations.
- Coordinate with Local Law Enforcement and Security Teams: Build relationships with local law enforcement, venue security, and event staff to establish security protocols.
- Secure Public Appearances and Events: Evaluate crowds, access points, and exit routes to ensure the executive's safety at public engagements.
- Provide Security Briefings: Deliver detailed security briefings to the executive protection team and executive, outlining the environment, risks, and emergency procedures.
- Ensure Access Control: Monitor and manage access to venues to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering secure areas.
- Respond to Security Incidents: Act quickly to mitigate threats and handle security incidents as they arise, always ensuring the safety of the executive.
- Document and Report: Prepare detailed reports on security measures, site assessments, and any incidents that occur.
- Follow all firearm handling and safety protocols as per company policy and local regulations.
- Local travel to various events may be required.
- The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
