PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Change Management Specialist will focus on the people side of change, as well as change impacts to business processes, systems, and technologies.  The Change Practitioner will create and deliver strategies and plans to help employees maximize the adoption of new programs. Plays a key role in implementing fast and effective change across the company, helping people to adapt to organizational and systems changes. This role must have a high degree of change management expertise, project management experience, collaboration skills, and a strong client service orientation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

  • 3 years experience applying and implementing organizational change management methodologies. Change mgmt/Prosci certification highly preferred

Required Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Work Experience

  • 4 years experience implementing/leading successful major change initiatives
  • 1 year experience in the health insurance industry or health care
  • 2 years management experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in communications, or any related field of study

  • Change Management Certification (Prosci or other)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements employee-focused change management strategies, meant to improve organizational effectiveness and drive business results through the thoughtful use of appropriate change management tools and techniques
  • Collaborates with client teams and more senior change management personnel to identify opportunities for strategic change
  • Creates timelines and project plans detailing the change management process
  • Engages senior management and/or stakeholders in the communication of changes to employees
  • Identify gaps in employee knowledge or competency needed to support future-state processes and recommends potential training activities
  • Identifies barriers to change adoption and initiates remediation to ensure smooth and successful adoption of new organizational, technological, or other change initiatives
  • Evaluate organizational capability by assessing change readiness and capacity, and identify dependencies and risks of potential scenarios and options
  • Apply change management processes and tools to create plans which support adoption of changes required by a project or initiative
  • Partner with appropriate internal teams to support the implementation of change management plans
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation tactics
  • Create, implement and/or support implementation of actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan
  • Complete change management assessments
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Integrate change management activities into project plan, track, and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change management at the organizational level
  • Manage the change portfolio in collaboration with Strategic Planning and the Project Management Office
  • The position requires a full-time work schedule. Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.
