This position is hybrid within the state of AZ only.  This hybrid work opportunity requires residency, and work to be performed, within the State of Arizona.

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required Work Experience

  • Level 1: 1 year of experience in customer service, enrollment, or contracting
  • Level 2: 3 years of experience in enrollment, finance, or broker contracting
  • Level 3: 5 years of experience in broker contracting, including 2 years with an insurance carrier / payor

Required Education

  • High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred Work Experience
  • Level 1: 2 years of experience working with Callidus ICM / SAP APM to manage broker contracting with an insurance carrier / payor
  • Levels 2 - 3: 5 years of experience working with Callidus ICM / SAP APM to manage broker contracting with an insurance carrier / payor
  • Level 3: 1 year of supervisory or lead experience

  • Associate’s degree in business or general field of study

ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Level 1

  • Review and validate that all brokers have a valid contract and appropriate licenses required by BCBSAZ
  • Add contracted and non-contracted agents to agencies
  • Assign, review and maintain entries required for accurate commission payments
  • Review and coordinate updates to subscriber records related to missing or incomplete broker information.
  • Ensure new brokers are assigned portal access and assist in troubleshooting access issues caused by entries in APM / ICM
  • Answer questions through email and telephone from brokers, agencies, and AZ Blue sales and service teams; provide timely, accurate information focused on the customer experience and first call resolution
  • Ensure departmental service level agreements are met consistently
  • Work with broker maintenance to ensure ownership changes are updated

Level 2

  • Process advanced contracting requests and book of business moves for eligible products
  • Troubleshoot contracting entries that cause issues for commission payments
  • Process Medicare contracts and certifications
  • Create and maintain process documentation and desk level procedures
  • Consult and coordinate with management to automate manual processes

Level 3

  • Responsible for training levels 1 and 2 and maintenance tech on contracting requirements
  • Audit the work of levels 1 and 2 at least weekly; review errors with the team
  • Mentor lower levels and provide peer review for entries
  • Work with management and broker quality analyst to create efficiencies and processes

OVERALL

 

  • Each progressive level includes the ability to perform the essential functions of any lower levels.
  • The position requires a full-time work schedule.  Full-time is defined as working at least 40 hours per week, plus any additional hours as requested or as needed to meet business requirements.

Required Job Skills

  • Intermediate skill in use of office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, scanner and telephones
  • Intermediate PC proficiency
  • Basic proficiency in spreadsheet software, sufficient to work with data and create work items for maintenance (intermediate proficiency for Lead)
  • Experience with contracting software and the ability to learn Callidus ICM / SAP APM upon hire
